Swaroopa Desai
Managing Director, Head of Corporate Access
Swaroopa (Swoops) Desai is a Managing Director and Head of Corporate Access at Leerink Partners.
Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Desai was a Managing Director and Global Head of Corporate Access at TD Cowen. She joined Cowen in 2015 to lead the Corporate Access efforts in Healthcare and was ultimately tasked with building out their multi-sector coverage model. Ms. Desai led her team to achieve top rankings in II and IR Magazine for Corporate Access. Previously to Cowen, she was with Barclays Capital/Lehman Brothers where her primary responsibilities were in Healthcare and Industrials. She started her career on Wall Street at Lehman Brothers in 2007 as an Associate in Equity Research on the Aerospace and Defense team.
Ms. Desai earned an MBA from NYU, MSc from the London School of Economics and BA from Brandeis University.
