Robert Leerink
Senior Managing Director, Head of Institutional Equities
Robert Leerink is a Senior Managing Director and Head of Institutional Equities at SVB Leerink.
Mr. Leerink has been with SVB Leerink since its inception in 1995. Prior to joining Institutional Sales team in 2000, Mr. Leerink led the Private Client Services group at the firm. Prior to SVB Leerink, Mr. Leerink worked in the Private Client Services division of Fechtor Detwiler.
Mr. Leerink holds a B.A. from Babson College.

Michael Marco
Managing Director, Head of Equity Trading
Michael Marco is a Managing Director and Head of Equity Trading at SVB Leerink.
Mr. Marco brings over 20 years of experience and expertise in Sales & Trading to SVB Leerink. He originally joined the firm in 2005 as a Managing Director and Head of Equity Trading. Prior to rejoining the firm in 2016, Mr. Marco held similar roles as a Managing Director and Head of Healthcare Trading at Credit Suisse and Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
Mr. Marco earned his B.A. in International Affairs from Georgetown University.

Adam Futterman
Managing Director, Head of Derivatives Trading
Adam Futterman is a Managing Director and Head of Derivatives Trading at SVB Leerink.
Prior to joining the firm in 2015, he established the Single-Stock Options desk at Cantor Fitzgerald LP where he focused the firm on a client facing enterprise. Previously to Cantor Fitzgerald, Mr. Futterman worked at WJB Capital Group as Head of Options Sales and Trading, where he led WJB’s entry into the options market and oversaw all aspects of its development and daily trading activities. Mr. Futterman also spent five years at Goldman Sachs in the U.S. Shares Division.
Mr. Futterman earned his B.A. at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Mark Steele
Managing Director, Head of Convertible Securities
Mark Steele is a Managing Director, Head of Convertible Securities at SVB Leerink.
Mr. Steele joined the firm from Sterne Agee Leach, Inc. where he was a Managing Director and Head of the Convertible Department. Prior to Sterne Agee Leach, he was Co-Founder and Partner of KKS Securities which was sold to Sterne Agee Leach, Inc. in 2010. Mr. Steele has previously held roles at Thomas Weisel Partners where he was a Partner and Head of the Convertible Department and Robertson Stephens where he was a Partner of Convertible Sales.
Mr. Steele earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Golden Gate University.

Thomas Carolan
Managing Director, Institutional Equities
Tom Carolan is a Managing Director of Institutional Equities at SVB Leerink.
Mr. Carolan has over 20 years of experience and joined the firm in 2006 as Director of Execution and Risk Management providing both sales coverage and market making to all clients of the firm. Prior to SVB Leerink, Mr. Carolan was a Director at Bank of America providing sales coverage and market making for all international equities. Prior to that he was a member of the International Team for Credit Suisse trading ordinary shares and coinciding currencies.
Mr. Carolan earned his B.S. in Finance from Siena College

Bart Ciccolini
Managing Director, Institutional Equities
Bart Ciccolini is a Managing Director of Institutional Equities at SVB Leerink.
Mr. Ciccolini brings over 20 years of experience in equity markets and over 10 years of focus specifically on the healthcare sector. He joined the firm in 2005 as Vice President and Position Trader serving as the primary market maker for Cougar Biotechnology, from the initial reverse merger through key transactions. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Ciccolini held a variety of roles including Assistant Trader/NASDAQ Trading at Herzog, Heine & Geduld Inc. and Vice President, Senior/Junior Trader, NASDAQ Market Maker at Merrill Lynch.
Mr. Ciccolini earned his B.A. in Economics from Fairfield University.

Michael Cohen
Managing Director, Derivatives
Michael Cohen is a Managing Director of Derivatives at SVB Leerink.
Mr. Cohen brings over 15 years of experience with a specialization in risk arbitrage, special situations, and corporate events and he will focus on expanding derivatives trading capabilities into other aspects of the market at SVB Leerink. Mr. Cohen joins us from Jefferies where he was Managing Director, Head of Equity Derivative Sales. Prior to Jefferies, he was at UBS Securities.
Mr. Cohen earned his B.A. in Finance from Penn State University and an M.B.A. from Cornell University’s Johnson School of Management.

Joseph D’Amadeo
Managing Director, Institutional Equities
Joseph D’Amadeo is a Managing Director of Institutional Equities at SVB Leerink.
Mr. D’Amadeo brings over 30 years of experience and expertise in institutional equity sales to SVB Leerink. Prior to joining the firm in 2016, Mr. D’Amadeo served as a Managing Director of Equity Research Sales at Barclays. During his 17 years at Barclays, formerly Lehman Brothers, Mr. D’Amadeo co-managed the Institutional Sales team in addition to covering some of the largest Hedge Funds/Long only clients of the firm. Prior to his tenure at Barclays, Mr. D’Amadeo was a Founding Partner of the brokerage firm Taglich Brothers, D’Amadeo, Wagner & Co., which he ran from 1992-1999.
Mr. D’Amadeo earned his B.B.A. in Finance from Lubin School of Business at Pace University.

Daniel Donner
Managing Director, Institutional Equities
Dan Donner is a Managing Director of Institutional Equities at SVB Leerink where he leads a two person sales team focused on high touch sales coverage to top tier portfolio managers and analysts.
Prior to joining the firm in 2004, Mr. Donner was Vice President of Institutional Sales at SG Cowen where he established a track record of increasing profitability at underperforming accounts. Prior to Cowen, he held various roles at General Electric including Corporate Audit Staff at General Electric Company, Manager of Finance in E-Commerce Business Development at GE Capital Mortgage Corporation and he also completed the Financial Management Program at General Electric Capital Services.
Mr. Donner earned his B.S. in Accounting from Northeastern University.

Kyle Farrell
Managing Director, Institutional Equities
Kyle Farrell is a Managing Director of Institutional Equities at SVB Leerink.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Farrell was a Healthcare Sales Specialist in Institutional Equity Sales at Bear Stearns and began his tenure there as an Equity Research Associate. Prior to Bear Stearns, Mr. Farrell was an Equity Research Analyst at Raymond James & Associates where he assisted in the development and distribution of proprietary Raymond James research products.
Mr. Farrell earned his B.A. in Finance from the University of Florida, Warrington College of Business Administration.

John Garrity
Managing Director, Institutional Equities
John Garrity is a Managing Director of Institutional Equities at SVB Leerink.
Mr. Garrity joined the firm in 1995 as a Vice President and Retail Broker. He has held a variety of roles at the firm including Vice President of Institutional Equities, where he was instrumental in the development of client relationships and building out the firm’s account base, and Director, where Mr. Garrity facilitated the growth of both the Sales and Equity Research staff. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Garrity was a Vice President and Retail Broker at Fechtor, Detwiler and Company.
Mr. Garrity earned his B.A. in Marketing from Suffolk University and an M.B.A. in Marketing and Finance from Bentley University.

Bob Gaudreau
Managing Director, Institutional Equities
Bob Gaudreau is a Managing Director of Institutional Equities at SVB Leerink.
Mr. Gaudreau brings over 30 years of experience in equity markets. Prior to joining SVB Leerink in 1997, he was a Director at Bear Sterns. Prior to his tenure at Bear Stearns, he was a Vice President at Lehman Brothers and Vice President at Dean Witter.
Mr. Gaudreau earned his B.S. in Communications from Boston University.

Xavier Janssen
Managing Director, Institutional Equities
Xavier Janssen is a Managing Director of Institutional Equities at SVB Leerink.
Mr. Janssen joined the firm in 2004 and brings over 30 years of experience in equity markets. Prior to joining SVB Leerink, he was a Director / Swiss Country Head at Deutsche Bank responsible for U.S. equity sales trading, trading, derivatives and institutional research sales. Before Deutsche Bank, Mr. Janssen was at ING Barings Furman Selz where he was responsible for institutional research sales into Europe.
Mr. Janssen earned his B.A. in English and Political Science from Hobart and William Smith Colleges and his M.B.A. from Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business.

Daniel McMullen
Managing Director, Institutional Equities
Dan McMullen is a Managing Director of Institutional Equities at SVB Leerink.
Mr. McMullen joined the firm in 2012 and continues to provide clients with deep expertise in institutional equity sales. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. McMullen was Co-Founder and President of Business Development at AHM Consulting. He began his career at Fidelity Management and Research Company as a Business Analyst in the Fund Analysis and Research Group and later became a Senior Sector Specialist in equity research, where he focused on small cap stocks in various industries.
Mr. McMullen earned his B.A. in Economics from Boston College.

Christopher Mondella
Managing Director, Institutional Equities
Christopher Mondella is a Managing Director of Institutional Equities at SVB Leerink.
Mr. Mondella joined the firm in 2006 as Director of Institutional Sales Trading providing equity sales coverage to institutional clients, both foreign and domestic, with a focus on Canada, Europe and dedicated healthcare funds. Prior to SVB Leerink, Mr. Mondella was a Vice President of Institutional Program Trading at Fulcrum Global Partners. Prior to that, he held roles at The Bank of New York Mellon as a Fund Accountant, a Trader and a Group Manager in the Asset Management Division.
Mr. Mondella earned his B.B.A. from Pace University.

Michael Talamas
Managing Director, Institutional Equities
Michael Talamas is a Managing Director of Institutional Equities at SVB Leerink.
Mr. Talamas has over 20 years of experience in Institutional Equity Sales and Trading. Prior to joining SVB Leerink in 2004, Mr. Talamas was an Institutional Sales Trader and Market Maker at Herzog, Heine, Geduld where he held a fundamental role in the management of trading special situations. In later years, Mr. Talamas was an Institutional Sales Trader and Vice President at Merrill Lynch responsible for managing risk and positions while also acting as a liaison between trading and IT specialists ensuring increased efficiency in a rapidly evolving environment.
Mr. Talamas earned his B.B.A. in Finance and Management from Trinity University.

Jordy Tedford
Managing Director, Institutional Equities
Jordy Tedford is a Managing Director of Institutional Equities at SVB Leerink.
Mr. Tedford joined the firm in 2003 as Director of Institutional Equities with a primary focus on establish a research sales distribution platform for Europe. He’s helped the firm develop trading relationships with over 50 clients in Europe, Canada and Australia. Prior to SVB Leerink, Mr. Tedford worked in Institutional Equity Sales at Robertson Stephens International in London where he was responsible for expanding the sales reach into Switzerland among institutional funds and private banks in Zurich, Geneva and Lugano. His earlier career included a role as a Lloyd’s of London Broker in the Special Risk Division of Bradstock Group PLC.
Mr. Tedford earned his B.A. in Economics from McGill University.

Daniel Zgodny
Managing Director, Institutional Equities
Daniel Zgodny is a Managing Director of Institutional Equities at SVB Leerink.
Mr. Zgodny joined the firm in 2002 and has been a key member of the Institutional Equities team since then. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Zgodny was an Equity Sales Trading Associate at Credit Suisse First Boston. He began his career as a Domestic Equity Trading Intern at Soros Fund Management, formerly a hedge fund firm now structured as a family office managing international investments.
Mr. Zgodny earned his B.A. in Business Finance from Lehigh University.

Andy Newman
Senior Managing Director, Business Manager, Institutional Equities
Andy Newman is the Business Manager of Institutional Equities at SVB Leerink.
Mr. Newman is responsible for helping to drive client strategy, performance management and compensation within the Institutional Equities business. He joined the firm in 1995 leading the Finance department where he was responsible for establishing the firm’s books and records. He then served as steward for Operations including IT, Purchasing and Risk before assuming his current role in 2008.
Prior to SVB Leerink, Mr. Newman spent two years at Fechtor Detwiler as a stockbroker. Previously to that, Mr. Newman worked in the Asset Based Lending Division at Baybank Finance & Leasing where he began as a Field Examiner, matriculated through the Corporate Credit Training Program, and became a Corporate Lender.
Mr. Newman earned his B.S. in Finance from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth.
